SPRING FEVER!!

We have had nice weather for two days in a row now....WOO HOO!! With Idaho weather you know that doesn't happen often. :) We are getting spring fever so bad at our house. Yesterday when it was nice the kids played in the yard while I cleaned and vacuumed out the van. Then today they went out again and rode their scooters. It is still a little chilly so they had to wear their coats, but just the fact that they get to go outside and play is WONDERFUL for them as well as mom! :)

We also made these today....YUM-O!! This is one of our favorite cookie recipes. Who doesn't love the combination of chocolate and peanut butter.

Weekend in B Town

Troy has been working all week in Burley on an addition to the Burley Iron works. (Pictures below)....

So the kids and I decided to go to Burley for the weekend to spend a little time with my parents and to spend time with Troy in the evenings (he stays at my parent's house when he is working in Burley). It ended up being a great weekend to visit because all my sisters were coming to town for the weekend. On Friday night my mom was gone and Troy and Dad were working on Dad's new office he is adding onto the house, so us girls decided to take over mom's kitchen while she was gone. We had a great time making tacos for dinner and then we made rice krispee treats and no bake cookies.

On Saturday Kayden I headed back to Twin for his last basketball game. Troy was unable to make it to this game so unfortunately he was not in the team photos, but both him and Kayden's best friend's dad, David Weaver, coached the team together. It worked out nice to have them do it together so when one of them couldn't make it the other could be there. With Troy's busy work schedule it was the best way to do it.

Then we went back to B town and stayed one more night at my parent's house. The sisters scrapbooked all afternoon and evening while the kids played, Gary and Mom played games, and Dad and Troy were working on the office (after Troy got off of work). Then on Sunday we scrapped some more before heading home. I will have to share some of my latest layouts later. It was so fun for the kids to get to hang out with their cousins and just to have a relaxing weekend with family.

I had to share these pics because I thought they were s funny. Sunday morning when Jaycee woke up she wanted to go and help my dad and Troy in the office they were working on so she put on the gloves and hat by herself and picked up a piece of wood and was headed out to help them. She has the funniest personality! :)

Just loved this pic of Jaycee when she woke up from her nap.

Then Sunday night after we returned home we got all the kids to bed and Troy and I were in bed cuddling by 9:00 and watched this...

It was a great movie and of course made me cry. I am not sure if Troy enjoyed it nearly as much as I did, but he was a good sport and watched a chick flick with me and stayed awake through the whole thing! :)

Our Fun Busy Weekend

We had a great weekend.....It started Friday night when we went out with our good friends the Allsops. Abbie came and stayed with the kids and we went to Allsop's house to play games and eat tacos. Then at 10:30 we went cosmic bowling and we finished the night off with breakfast before we headed home. We met some new people and had a great time!

Then on Saturday Abbie and I headed to Gooding to have a "girl's night" scrapbooking. Steph had it at her house this time and Steph, Lois, Marcy, Robbin, Abbie, Amber, and I scrapped until about 2 in the morning and then got up the next morning and scrapped until about 4 in the evening before we headed home. We got a lot accomplished, had great food to snack on, watched a little Grey's Anatomy and some chick flicks while scrapping, and really enjoyed each other's company. I also learned how to make a new little accordian book which I can't wait to make more of! (Thanks Lois, you are the BEST and so talented!!) It was suck a fun time!

No comments about hair of makeup in this pic, this was the next morning after scrapping until 2 in the morning! :)

Here are a few of the layouts I finished up at Steph's house...

Then Sunday evening Gary & Amber, Abbie, Dorrel & D'Nette, and Troy & I walked over to the park and played a little tennis. (Yes, it is still a little cold for tennis but we had fun.) Then after the kids were all in bed we finished the night off with a little soak in the hot tub with Allsops (which my hip really needed). Such a fun weekend spending it with some of our favorite people!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!

To help celebrate Valentine's Day we got together with our good friends last night and let all the kids make Valentine sugar cookies together. We made the cookies and the kids got to all sit around the table and decorate them. D'Nette went to the store and got a lot of fun candy for the kids to top their cookies with. Some ended up with A LOT of stuff on them, but the kids had such a great time. Then after the cookie mess was cleaned up and the kids were downstairs playing we played the farming game with just the adults. It was the Allsops first time playing the game and Dorrel kicked all of our butts!! :) It was a lot of fun.

Had to share this picture because I just loved it. Jaycee's hair bow fell out and Dorrel was fixing it for her. I thought it was so cute!!
