Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Today our baby girl is 2!! Yes, we had a "New Year's Baby" and we can't believe that today she is 2. We are celebrating her birthday this weekend with a party, but we couldn't let today go by without celebrating her as well. She is such a precious little thing, with and attitude of a teenager, and a smile to melt your heart. We want to share some of our favorite things about our little girl and some of our favorite pictures of our first two years with her in our family.

*She is on her way to being potty trained.

*She sleeps in a "big girl" bed now and loves her bed when she decided to stay in it.

*We love how long her hair is getting and we have to keep it pulled back or it hangs right in her eyes and she is constantly flipping it out of her face so mature like.

*She adores her two older brothers and is always wanting to do the same thing they are.

*She also knows how to annoy her brothers by running in and turning off the television when they are in the middle of a show and then running in the other room or walking up to them when they are playing cars or some other game and grabbing something they are playing with and running off with it. (we are working on these :)

*She loves to take a bath and will bath 10 times a day if I will let her. She has discovered how to turn on the tub by herself and we now have to keep the bathroom door locked because we caught her completely naked running bath water for herself a couple of times now.

*She loves the camera and knows that mom takes a lot of pictures, so now when she sees a camera come around she instantly puts on her "cheese" face and poses (gotta love that).

*When you tell her to say thank you she simply says "thanks".

*She loves strawberry milk and if you give her milk and forget the strawberry she will let you know (and not drink it until the strawberry is added).

*She is a morning person and loves to be up early. Even though her mother is not a morning person she has a way of getting me in the best mood every morning and we usually have a little bonding time just the two of us before the boys are awake.

*She loves her daddy and is always so excited when he gets home from work. And when he rarely has a day off she is so excited to find him in his bed in the morning and gets right up in his face and yells "dad" not realizing the it is his only day to sleep in a little.

*She loves shoes and will wear any that are available. She also changes her clothes 3-4 times a day.

*She loves her Poppie (Papa Clyde) and the second we take the Burley exit she starts saying Poppie's name because she knows that is where we are headed.

*She is also very close to Aunt Jo and we call her Aunt Jo's Mini Me. It is crazy how similar their personalities are.

*She loves to dance and anytime there is music on whether it is in the car, or a commercial on television, she gets her grove on.

*She has discovered the word "NO" and uses it for EVERYTHING!!

*She loves to have company over and usually greets them at the door, especially if it is Uncle Gary, and she usually expects him to pick her up and love on her right away.

*She loves her younger cousin Regie and enjoys having someone around that is younger than her that she can be protective of. And she is always really cute about sharing whatever she is munching on with her cousin whether Aunt Amber approves or not. :)

*She is little Miss Independent and wants things done her way and by herself. (wonder where she gets that from?:)

*She has the funniest facial expressions and has a killer smile with those dimples of hers.

*She doesn't have any problem standing her ground with her older brothers.

*She is so smart for her age and can figure things out that just blow us away.

*She is mommy's little shadow all day long, every day. It doesn't matter if I am doing my hair, the dishes, or laundry she is always right by my side helping me.

Jaycee is such a joy to our family and we are reminded everyday how lucky we are to have this precious little girl in our lives. We love you girl!!
