GREATEST UNCLE

Any of you who know Kayden will know that he is really big into soldier stuff right now and he is very very patriotic. Anything that has to do with soldiers, army, tanks, guns, etc. is the coolest thing to him. So as you can imagine he really looks up to his Uncle Eric (Troy's older brother) that is in the army. Eric is back in Iraq and we keep in contact with him through both the mail and email. Kayden sent him a letter awhile back with a little picture he had made for him. A couple of days ago when we opened the door to leave we found a package sitting on the front step. It was to Kayden from Uncle Eric in Iraq. He had sent just a few things he could round up from over there to Kayden. Kayden thought that was the coolest thing ever. He is so proud to have a uncle fighting for our country and had to show everyone including his teacher and his entire class what his uncle sent him. Here is a few pictures of what he received.

The shirt he sent him. Of course it is still a little big but Kayden doesn't care. He wears it all the time. It is one of their physical training t-shirts.

The package had the shirt in it, a newspaper from over there (pretty cool to look at), some pictures of soldiers, scenery, and camels, and a camel.

One more thing I want to share. After getting this package we headed to Burley for the evening. In the car Kayden and Ori had a little conversation that just made me laugh and I wanted to share it with you.

Ori: "Kayden, wouldn't it be cool if we lived there because we could ride the camels."

Kayden: "No we wouldn't be able to Ori, riding the camels is like driving a car. You have to be 16 to do it. I am only 6 and you are only 4 so we wouldn't be old enough to ride the camels."

Ori: "Oh, (big sigh) well how old will we be after our next birthdays?"

Kayden: "You will only be 5 and I will only be 7."

Ori: "Still not old enough to ride the camels?"

Kayden: "Nope"
