So Lucky To Have An Amazing, Helpful Family!!

So I am not sure if I mentioned this or not, but when we went to Lagoon for the Jensen family reunion the power at Lagoon went out for about 2 hours. Because that happened, we all received free tickets that had to be used before the 29th of June. We decided to do an adult day at Lagoon. We LOVED taking our kids and the kids had an awesome time, but there were a lot of things Troy and I couldn't do or at least do together because the two younger kids couldn't ride a lot of the big rides. So, we thought it would be fun to go with a few friends of ours and do "adults only" this time. We went in the middle of the week hoping that it wouldn't be too busy, and it wasn't! It was awesome, we basically walked right up to every ride and got on.....very little waiting time! We went with Derek & Kasey and Jose & Keri. It was a very enjoyable day. Here are a few pictures.

This is where the AMAZING and HELPFUL family comes in. After planning to go to Lagoon I realized that it was on the same day as Kayden's Cub Scout Day Camp. So not only did I have to find someone to help with the kids, but I had to find someone to go with Kayden and someone to keep the two younger kids.
Troy's mom offered to help us out with Ori & Jaycee. This worked out good because they love to go to Grandma Cantrell's house. We showed up late Tuesday night and put all the kids to bed and then when we got back late Wednesday night we stayed again because all the kids were already asleep. I wish I had some pictures to share from their stay, but I couldn't have my camera in three places at once. I do know they had an amazing time. They got to help feed the cows, they got to go to Dairy Queen and eat, and Grandma always takes really good care of them! THANKS DEB, WE LOVE YOU!!
Troy's Stepmom, Grandma Helen, took Kayden for the day to his Cub Scout Day Camp and then he spent the rest of the evening with her and Grandpa. This was a big task to take on, and Helen didn't even hesitate to tell me yes. I really really appreciate her help and Kayden had such an amazing time at his day camp. I mentioned to Helen that I would love it if she could get at least one or two pictures so I could have some for his scrapbook. She completely surprised me when she said she had over 70 pictures from the day. That is my way of thinking!! :) THANKS HELEN SO MUCH, I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU SHARING THIS DAY WITH KAYDEN!!

Here are a few pictures. I probably can't explain them as well as Helen could, but I will do my best.

They got to shoot bow and arrows.

This is is whole group before they left for the day. (Kayden's shirt didn't get delivered to his cub scout leader, so he didn't get his until they got there.)

This was his buddy for the day, Jamon. (Not sure how to spell that, but cute name!)

They got to make homemade ice cream.

He loved shooting the BB guns.

They got to play soccer, and Helen got some great pictures of this!

They made rockets and then got to shoot them off.

Helen said after lunch they had singing and music and they were doing the macarena and the chicken dance along with others. She said Kayden was by her doing these dances and then all of the sudden he was up on the stage in front of everyone dancing. He is SO MUCH like his dad! :)

THANKS GRANDMA HELEN! WE LOVE YOU!

Our Weekend

We had a very enjoyable weekend. The Parade of Homes took up most of our weekend but it was very productive. There were lots of people who walked through the house in the three days. If you weren't able to make it this weekend, stop by next weekend and check it out.

On Saturday afternoon the kids and I went over to Stanger's house for a little "Baby-Que" to celebrate their new addition to the family. The kids had a blast playing with the other kids outside and getting wet. Then when Troy finished with the Parade of Homes at 7:00 we headed to Gooding for a BBQ and some relaxation time with the Knopps and Nelsons. Perry and Marcy made an awesome meal and after eating we played basketball for a long time, made s'mores over the fire, and then finished the evening off with a little pinochle. We truly love hanging with this group and it is always so much fun and so relaxing.

Come see our home in the parade!

This weekend and next weekend is the Parade of Homes.

This is our house in the parade. It was built for the Crossroads United Methodist Church for their new Pastor who is moving here. It turned out really nice.

Come see our home in the parade.
