Boys will be boys

Walking over to the park for a picnic today, the boys ran across a water snake which was by far "The coolest thing EVER" to them. Grandpa just happen to be passing through town and stopped just in time to check out the snake with the boys and taught them how to hold it. Each of them took a turn holding it by the tail.

Jaycee was totally freaked out by the snake but finally felt safe enough in Grandpa's arms to touch it.

Then Grandpa put the snake back up in the tree where it was originally trying to climb and to give it a break from all the kids. The poor snake was completely scared. Then each kid took a turn getting up in Grandpa's arms to look at the snake in the tree.

So fun! I love looking at snakes but I have no desire to hold one. Ever. Yeah for Grandpa for teaching them to hold the critter and add one more fun memory. I do seem to remeber you, Jen, not too calm about the water snakes while we were floating the lava hot springs river. Remember?
